It's too easy to overshadow all the beauty and excitement experienced in the process of the flight to PA and back, and the fulfillment of the desire for a thermal that was dearly needed pales when that thermal does not materialize so close to the attainment of a well sought goal. Nevertheless the desire to repeat the journey, if not the finish, smolders until the next diamond day.
: Today Doug Bradley flew north from DSV to
: Geneseo, then south to Cash Creek, which is
: just north of Towanda, and returned almost
: to Bath where he had to land on the hill
: late in the day. See You gives that Doug
: made an OLC distance of 265.3km. His
: declared flight was 304.8km. Better luck
: next time Doug.
:
: Email me the igc traces for your cross
: country flights so that I can post them on
: the FLSC XC web page to allow club members
: to enjoy replaying your flights when they
: are grounded.
