Adirondack Soaring is hosting a (2) day ground school on March 4th & Mrach 5th. The material fee cost is $30.

Airframe and Performance Considerations
Radio Operation and Navigation
Meteorology for Soaring
Launching via Aerotow
Stall/Spin Awareness
Medical Factors in Flying
Flight Instruments
Soaring Techniques
Cross Country and Contest Flying
SSA Badges
Federal Air Regulations/
Flight Reviews

Students should have in their possession the following:
• FAA-S8081-22 Private Pilot Practical Test Standards for Glider
• Derek Piggot’s Stop Worrying About Stalling and Spinning
• FAA-H-8083-13 Glider Flying Handbook
• glider logbook
• Federal Air Regulations
• Current New York sectional
With the exception of the New York sectional (North American Flight Services, Saratoga County Airport has copies), all are available from the Soaring Society of America at www.ssa.org
