PGC Glider Pilots Ground School
Philadelphia Glider Council will host its 2006 Glider Pilots Ground School. This course is designed as a tutorial for those prepping for the Glider Written Exam, as a refresher for an upcoming flight review, or as a general tune-up for experienced pilots.
Topics Include: Weather Services; Critical Weather; Sectional Charts; Airspace; Cross-Country Planning; Radio Communications; Pre-Flight Procedures; Emergency Procedures; Off-Field Landings; Aeromedical Factors; Aeronautical Decision Making; Collision Avoidance; Sailplane Aerodynamics; Density Altitude; Flight Limitations; Flight Instruments; Weight & Balance; Documents & Certificates; Pilot Privileges; FAR’s for Glider Pilots; Flight Maneuvers; From the Eyes of the Designated Examiner.

Dates: January 28, February 11, February 18, 2006 – Snow Date – February 25
Topics spread over three Saturday sessions.)
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location: Merck Pharmaceutical Education Center, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania (Near Plymouth Meeting, outside Philadelphia)

Fee: $90 - non-PGC Members $50 - PGC Members
