Snow Bird Shannon Donlon Qualifies for Private License

Hey you guys, is this great or what? Shannon Donlon got his private license friday in the snow. He and Bob Bianco took off in the Blanik at about 1 PM after an oral at Shirley's in Dansville, and had to abort his first take off due to excessive drag which prevented takeoff by the intersection. Emergency procedures passed.
After that, I and Jim Rizzo launched them from the hard surfaced 14 behing Chuck Taft. Winter Flying is alive and well at Dansville. TR
