Now JT, dont make me sad
Im just lookin out for ya buddy
Truely, stay positive and set your sights on something a little further down the line-they'll be fun, rewarding experiences when you get "healthy" again
As I said, talk to the doctor-get more feedback from him and see what he thinks about you going to the games and competing in anything-but, will this be rewarding enough for you-you cannot go and compete outside doctors orders-thats just way too dangerous-too many things can happen and not just with your eye-ie, blood clots forming and traveling etc-dont want to scare you but want you to be educated..I guess sometimes I may know a bit too much for my own good
My best advice is to ask the doctor/doctors to sit down with you and find out what form of exercise is safe and work within that realm for now-if he said no strenuous exercise for 6 months then pick something in about 9 months to really strive for-you have a good athletic career-you dont want to compromise that. If you still want to go to the games badly..ask if racewalking would be okay?? But, not even sure if the flight would be safe-alot of stress on your body-elevation, pressure-may not be good for your eye either-my ut and brain is telling me you need to focus your energy on something else for a bit and give your body a break to heal properly...you'll come back stronger..I promise
Harvey, thanks for backing me up
