Posted by Ted on 4/2/2003, 4:33 pm I had a k/p transplant on 1/1/2003. I feel great and have been doing as much cycling as I can. Last weekend we had some good weather, so I did 44 miles on saturday with some strong winds to fight, and on sunday the winds died out and I did another ride of 48 miles thru the Texas hillcountry - it was a great ride! My new pancreas works great - no problmes at all with it. The kidney however doesn't have that good of function, the creatinine was last at 4.1, the docs don't expect that I'll ever get normal function. It still remains to see what level I'll end up with. Oh well, at least I'm no longer suffering with diabetes and no longer on dialysis(was on it for 4 3/4 years). Ted
Hi Everybody!
I've been back at work full time now for some time. I also manage to do a short ride on most weekdays of about 12-13 miles.
