Posted by John Biggers on 3/16/2003, 4:41 pm I hope that those of you who have participated in our chits have enjoyed them over the past few weeks. One vital aspect of a chatroom is that there are a enough people present at one time to keep the conversation flowing; otherwise, everybody quickly gets bored, and the group falls apart after a few minutes. Without some additional input and participation from more users, I fear that this chatroom may not hold together very much longer. If anyone has ideas for topics, times, or features that would boost the attendance of our chat, e-mail me. We also need more people to moderate chats: This demands nothing more than that you commit to be in the chatroom at a certain date at a certain time and that you commit at least two hours to staying online in the room. If you want to host a topic, fine, if you want to leave it open, thats ok too. If you want to pick a date and time, let me know and Ill put it on the calendar so others will not select a conflicting time. (Its become a bit of a burden on Risa and me to be there twice a week: for example, next week I have guests over the weekend, so I will not be able to be here at all.) Let me know if you have more ideas or if you have some time to devote to making this chatroom work. John (My apologies to Brian from Canada; I missed your log on by about 30 seconds today. Ill have to reset my wristwatch.)
