where to fish Lake Ontario between Niagra & Toronto

My family will be traveling from Niagra Falls to Toronto on Aug 10. My 12 yr old son really wants to fish in Lake Ontario. Is there any places along the way where he can get bait, a license & fish from shore for about 3 hours?
