My greatgrandparents were George and Mary Purnell Plummer. They lived and raised their family in Sangamon Co., IL. I have been searching for George for a long time. I know he died between 1891 and 1900. There is no death certificate or any record of his death that I can find. Does anyone know anything about Mary and George. They had 10 children and one of those children Ota Mae Plummer was my grandmother. George had a brother Nathan Plummer. Nathan married Mary's sister Emily Purnell. Nathan was in the Civil War. Both George and Nathan were born in Ohio and as adults farmed next to each other in Cotton Hill Township, Sangamon Co., IL. Their parents were George and Elizabeth Whaley Plummer. Mary and Emily's parents were Jonathan and Sarah/Sally Ann Clayton Purnell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
