Hello, not sure who will respond to this... Christie??? As you can tell... I am a Purkey as well... who can trace roots back to Clayborne (aka clayborn/clayburne/clayburn) "Lathrop" Purkey, our great great grandfather (I think that's right but I'll have to double check). I'm gonna guess the "Lathrop" is his mother's maiden name, but don't for sure know. Yes indeed, many children through him (12). Would love to connect over our ancestry... I can trace my end of Purkeys back from California,Oklahoma, through Indiana and Illinois, and have just hints as to connections through Tennessee, West Virginia/Virginia. Again would love to know your story and connections as you have disovered past ancestry. Please email me your thoughts/facts... my sons are the last Purkey's on this branch of the bigger tree... would love to know more about the family roots and other branches.
