Posted by Marilyn Your information does fit with some of the information that I have concerning my husband's Waughan line. The first George Waughan I know about was born about 1825 in England. He came to PEI and married Isabella Barbara(maiden name?). She was from Scotland.They had several children. Two of the sons were named Henry( born about 1860) and James Noah (born 1849). James Noah married Annie Ferguson in PEI. They had a daughter Cora Waughan. She married Percy Cleveland in Boston MA. Cora Waughan and Percy Cleveland are my husband Scott's grandparents. The other abovementioned son, your ancestor, Henry married Mary Ellen Gay, I believe. They had a son George Waughan(born 1889) who went to Manitoba and married Sarah Adelaide Sutherland. Apparently, they would be your great-grandparents. They had a son George H. Waughan(born in 1915, I think) who did move to Pasadena with his mother. "Adelaide" and George H. Waughan(age 14) are listed in the 1930 census in Pasadena.George H's father is not listed. Did he die? You may have all of this info already. But, if you want more about Henry, and his parents, etc., i'll send you what I have. Perhaps you have more about George and Isabella Barbara Waughan? I haven't been able to trace them back any further. They are the common ancestors that you share with my husband.
