How do I get the certification for KC 10406 into my name?

I am fortunate enough to be the 5th or 6th proud owner of the above 'ball. The original builder is helping me get it back onto the water.

He suggested I get my paperwork in order because the boat qualifies for the world's, if properly registered. I'd qualify for the world's too, but in the "spectator" category!

Former owners and I are all members of the same sailing club, so I can obtain proper bills of sale/transfer papers showing the change in ownership down the line, if that is required.

Thanks for any advice you folks can offer.
