AND - the loop of slack is folded back and forth between multiple blocks on only 1 side of the boat.
AND the only reason to have the bungee cord stretched from down one side, across the stern and up the other side is to give enough length of bungee cord so that it can stretch out far enough (10'? 12'?)to allow the halyard's end to go from the spinnaker halyard block for the head of the spinnaker, all the way down to the bag/pouch, etc., when the spinnaker is pulled down.
