Folks-
I have one of those old Proctor masts with internal running of the spinnaker halyard. The spinnaker halyard comes out of the mast above the forestay through a little hole.
The problem is this---even using a very thin line, the spinnaker halyard often fouls the main head as I raise the main sail. Lovely.
Can't raise the main and I have to then unstep the mast to make the spinnaker halyard happy and running free.
Does anyone have a suggestion that doesn't involve drilling yet another hole in an old mast?
Bill
