Class Rankings

Olympic classes have rankings put out 4 times or so a year. Has the Fireball class ever tried to put out North American rankings using a similar formula? At the Canadian AGM this year, the idea of looking at a small annual fee for crewing members of the class came up. What if we tried to put out rankings, and to be included, you had to be either a full member or a crewing member? This would also have the effect of allowing eastern members "compete" with western members. Any thoughts?
