This year the US Association has arranged with the Davis Island Yacht Club to host both the US National and Mid-Winter Championships together as a week long event starting with the US Nationals beginning on Monday, March 9 and running through Wednesday, March 11. There will be a layday on Thursday to get ready for the Mid-Winters or just to rest up and then the Mid-Winters will begin on Friday, March 13 and run through Sunday, March 15. Also at this time Pat Crump will be officially retired as our President of the US Association and replaced by Peter Wirth pending a vote by the US Association. Besides trying to make the trip to Tampa more cost effective as it waas two years ago we wish to say thank you to Pat for all of the years he served as president of the class and all the work he did on behalh of us all. He deserves our graditude and our attending these regattas will a great way to thank you to him. James Nunn is the appointed regatta chair this year so if anyone has any questions concerning the regatta you can address them to him at sandals42@aol.com I along with the rest of the US Assocition executive committee hope that as many as possible can attend this event in support of Pat and what he has done for all of us at one time or another. Mark your calendars now and hope to see you in Tampa in March.
