Results for the US Nationals and North Americans

Sorry for the delay but here are the results for the US Nationals and the North American Championships that were held at Dillon Yacht Club on Lake Dillon, Colorado over the week of June 16-20.

US National Results

From the reports I got back from Alan and Peter the group was small but very competetive and the wind was just great. The water was cold and the view was spectacular. According to Debra Deitch there are three Fireballs in the Portland, Oregon area now and a fourth is moving in from California. Their little group is growing and we hope to hear more form them in the future. The Colorado group is slowly growing again With Alan, Peter, Frank and Dave Paytosh having paid their memberships so they are seeing some growth as well. All of them deserev a big congradulations for supporting the class and helping it grow. Also Peter reports that the Dillon Yacht Club did a great job hosting this event and desereves a big thank you for their eforts to insure that the Fireballs had the best regatta possible. Hopefully fuel costs will not have such a large impact on regatta attendence for the remainder of the season as it did on this one. Once again congradulations to Peter and Alan for putting on a great regatta.
