Columbia Gorge One Design Regatta

To all those who haven't been personally badgered by me already :-) ...

Columbia Gorge Racing Association (www.cgra.org) has an annual event at Cascade Locks, Oregon called the Columbia Gorge One Design Regattas (aka CGOD, locally known as "sea-god"). The fledgling fleet here in Portland, Oregon contacted CGRA about getting a start for Fireballs and they agreed. So we are very excited to have this offering for Fireball sailors and hope it will grow into an annual regional event.

This year CGOD is being held on August 2 - 3, 2008. There is information about the venue, local accommodations, etc. at www.cgra.com The NOR and registration are not posted yet but they will also be on this website as soon as available. CGRA usually offers online registration for it's events.

CGRA regularly hosts such events as NA's and Nats for fleets like 505, 49er, 29er, I-14, Tasar, Laser, Optimist and Junior Olympic events as well as collegiate regattas and performance clinics. The Gorge is internationally known as a top notch windsurfing venue and the sailing community is starting to wake up and smell the coffee, too. So we expect it to be an awesome event and hope you will come. Please pass the word on to all who may be interested. We need 5 boats to hold up our end of the bargain.
