Hey Dave and All,
I hopefully aren't stepping on anybody elses toes from BC, but here are the dates of our major BC regattas:
Frozen Assets - Royal Vic - 23+24 Feb
Spring Dinghies - Royal Vic - 3+4 May
Fall Dinghies - Royal Vic - 27+28 Sept
Provincials should be held at Surrey Sail Centre in August (the last I heard). Frozen Assests and Spring dinghies might be a little thin with boats heading to and from Thailand. We usually have 10 to 12 boats per regatta. If anybody wants further info, let me know.

: In an effort to coordinate the US
: schedule with the Canadian schedule
: I am submitting the US side of the
: schedule based on the major events
: only. The Mid-winters will be
: hosted at Davis Island during the
: weekend of March 14-16. The
: Nationals and North Americans will
: be hostyed by the Dillon Yacht Club
: near Denver, Colorado during the
: week of June 16-20. Alan and Peter
: has the two events scheduled during
: the week to allow the weekends on
: either end of the week for
: traveling. That way there will be
: only a week of work you have to
: negotiate for to attend these two
: events. The Eastern Regionals will
: be hosted by Sayville yacht Club and
: the exact dates have yet to be
: determined but we have it narrowed
: down to somewhere around the third
: week in July. What we hope is the
: western Candian fleets will support
: the Nationals and North Americans
: and the Eastern Canadians will
: support the Eastern Regionals. What
: I need from our Canadian fleets is
: their regattas that they want us to
: support and I will send that
: schedule out to our membership as
: soon as I get them. I am not asking
: for any support for our local
: regattas this summer as I want to
: concentrate on trying to schedule
: regattas that will allow for the US
: and Candian fleets to travel across
: the border and support each other
: this summer. I've already talked to
: Joe Jospe about this and he agrees
: that this type of schedule will only
: benefit both associations in the
: long run due to the locations of our
: largest fleets. It might help the
: Candians to know that there is small
: group of US Fireballers located near
: Portland, Oregon looking for more
: Fireballs to race against. Also the
: largest US fleet is located near
: Pymatuning but is made up of mostly
: high school and college age students
: and can be somewhat unreliable when
: expecting them to travel but there
: is also four older fireballers that
: do travel on a regular basis for
: major US events. It these four that
: I hope will do the bulk of the
: traveling across the border. You
: have to go to either Dever of Tampa
: to get to the rest of our
: association. Anyway as soon as I
: can get your schedules I will begin
: to advertise them to our
: association. As soon as I have an
: exact date for the Eastern regionals
: I will notify the Canadians as well
: as the US fleets.
