Just a friendly reminder as the Nor for the North Americans failed to state that any participant in the North American Championship Regatta will have to be holding a valid racing certificate as well as displaying a membership disc on the front face of the aft bulkhead on their boat. These items are in support of rule 7.4 of the International Fireball Class Rulebook and will be enforced at the North Americans as they were at the Nationals and Mid-winters. If anyone wishes to pay their membership dues at the North American I will have some discs with me and will be more than accomodating to make sure everyone is legal before racing begins on Saturday. We do not plan on doing any measureing unless something comes under protest or is questioned before racing starts. If you've made arrangements with your associations measurers to have items such as new sails measured at Sayville, then this is between you and your measurer. Remember your sails must be included on your Racing Certificate. Again we are not looking for anything this is just a reminder that these items will be checked and will be enforced at this years Championships as well as any other Association sponsored event, as they should be. Hope to see as many as possible at Sayville. At present we are planning to get a group together to head to Montreal in August. See you in a few weeks.
