Posted by Phil --Previous Message-- Fanfare is quite a casual affair (although the racing is good). No one will be worried if you don't have a measurement certificate or aren't a member of the class association. If you intend to race more frequently next year then we'll try to sign you up. If you're local to Ottawa, come out to Nepean Sailing Club some Wednesday evening and meet the locals.

: I'd like to participate in the fanfare
: race in Ottawa on September 8th and
: 9th. I've heard its good for
: beginners, plus its the only one I
: can make... I have a fireball that
: used to race before I got it. I also
: have a crew member that is fairly
: new to sailing. How would I go about
: registering to participate in this
: race. Do I have to join the Canadian
: fireball association? Does my crew
: member have to join too? Do I have
: to get my boat remeasured before the
: race or something? Thanks.
