New to Racing

I'd like to participate in the fanfare race in Ottawa on September 8th and 9th. I've heard its good for beginners, plus its the only one I can make... I have a fireball that used to race before I got it. I also have a crew member that is fairly new to sailing. How would I go about registering to participate in this race. Do I have to join the Canadian fireball association? Does my crew member have to join too? Do I have to get my boat remeasured before the race or something? Thanks.
