In an effort to help people plan here is what we have at the present moment. The Edgewater Regatta held at Edgewater Yacht Club in Cleveland, OH is always scheduled over the Father's Day weekend which would put it on June 16-17, 2007. The Pymatuning Yacht Club Regatta or Independence Day Regatta is always over the 4th of July weekend. Unfortunately the 4th of July falls on a Wednesday this coming year so I don't know yet whether it is over June 30, July 1 or if they will push it back to the July 7-8 weekend. Which ever is the actual celebrated weekend will be the weekend. If I had to guess I would say it will be the June 30, July 1 weekend. I have nothiong on the Sam Myers as yet but I can say the North Americans will be out of Sayville Yacht Club on the Great South Bay which is on the Atlantic side of Long Island. This places the North Americans in a convinent location for both the eastern Canadians and the east coast fleets of US boats. The exact dates are still being worked out but they will be sometime near the end of July or beginning of August. We are also looking at holding the Eastern Regionals at Charleston, SC, but have no real comitment for them yet but that is where we are looking to hold them. I hope this helps everybody with their priliminary planning for attending regattas.
