How do you keep the centreboard down?

Pigeon Lake, Alberta, is quite shallow, but a couple of hundred feet from shore, it's deep enough to let the centreboard all the way down.
Mine kept creeping back up yesterday. First day sailing KC3067 since I finished restoring it. Keeping the centreboard down is obviously one more project I didn't quite know I had to do!
It's a woodie, restored with WEST epoxy. What a wonderful experience to sail it!
