Over the past couple of years we have been guided to building boats using the chineless construction method and joining the seams together with fiberglass tape and epoxy. Should I be looking at reinforcing the hull seams between the bottom and bilge panels and the top side and bilge panels with something stronger like Kelvar or is this more than necessary. Or would it even work. Is Kelvar something you use with fiberglass hulls only or does it adhere to wood as well. I it lighter than glass? I think these are questions we need to look at. Any response please send it along.
