Posted by Henry It has been a long time since I posted on this board, taking a haitus from dingy sailing after the 2002 Worlds in Tampa. To all of my Fireball friends out there, a huge welcome to the newest member of our family, Willima Henry born on august 2, 2005. "Liam" is still a little small for Fireballing, but look out in 2012. My wife Myrrhia and I still live in Charleston, SC where I own and run a Quantum Sails loft. I have decided to sell my original wide bow, Risky Business. She is still in fine shape and minimum weight, and stiff as ever. While you may want to have Pat review the measurement cert I am sure she will pass just fine without my name attached. Risky was the first widebow ever built, by Steve Smith in 1982. She has a cored composite hull with Kevlar reinforcement and a gorgeous (but hidden under paint) wooden deck. She won damn near everything she entered from 1998 to 2002 and has been sailed only once since 2002. She comes with new saprs and sails used only at the 2002 Worlds, and lots of extra's. I have a collection of Proctor Masts, Proctor Booms, Proctor and super Spar spinnaker poles, foils, covers, and more. Liam turned out to be an expensive little bugger, so one might say the "Firesale" is on. For those home builders out there I have a bare hull I laminated in 2002 after the worlds. She is a foam cored S glass hull with centerboard case intergral (a bone of contention on a previous ACME hull.) The bare hull weighs 32 pounds, so she would be ideal for a wood frame and deck. I'm not looking to make any waves or get any feathers ruffled, just wanting to pass on gear to those who might put it to good use. My "not a Fireball" USA 14795 will remain with me as my play toy. I have made some rigging adjustments to her to optimize her for singlehanding, a real blast if you have never tried it. If you are interested please either post your e-mail here or send me one directly. If you need new gear, a faster boat, or even the only custom Lindsay foils built since 1982 let me know. Who knows, maybe someday I will hit the water again, but it will be in a different boat for sure. If you have an old woody in good condition I may consider a trade as partial payment. Can deliver to Davis Island before the Midwinters. Can't sail, gotta big boat gig. Cheers,
