Several months ago, I purchased a pair of finches and while the store person said that they were Society Finches, I'm almost sure that they are not --- at least they don't look like any other Society Finch I have ever seen. Their backs are streaked with a fawn-color tan along with a medium brown striping. Their upper chest is a light fawn-tan blending down into a little gray. The most conspicuous trait is the yellow eye brows that they have and there is just a flush of yellow on their cheeks. Bills and legs are pink.
Can anyone tell me what finch they are? I have searched various web sites and also gone through several finch books but cannot find their name.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
