could you put it back in the nest? Otherwise leave him there if there are no major predators to worry about it. Usually the parents are aware of how many babies they have. However I am unsure of this fact specific to finches. I have read that touching the bird is usually not a problem as far as parents abandoning when touched by a human. If a day or so goes by and you are still worried, take him/her to a wildlife rehab. Or better yet, call your local zoo/rehab and ask them so they can tell you exactly what to do. Good luck, and remember it is not good to interfere with wildlife unless it seems absolutely necessary...
