I have one male and one female Zebra Finch. I do not provide them with a nest because I am not interested in breeding them. While the male is entirely healthy, my female has some sort of health problem. She is missing a lot of feathers from her back, neck and chest and has an odd yellowish orange growth on the side of her neck. She can still fly, eat, walk, turn her head, etc. If she didn't look this way I would say she was totally healthy. The male often tries to groom her, but she will not let him and flies away when he does. I've done everything I can think of to solve this problem but she remains pretty bad looking. What is wrong? What can I do?
