Thank you for your replies. I have tried to join many different forums with the sole purpose of talking to owners. I wanted to see where they got their fila from, and how it was doing. I have trained labs for field trials for a while, and I love labs. That is kind of a sid topic. That being said, I would never buy a dog with out papers. I would never buy a dog where the linage has passed its breed test (temperment, hips & elbow in this case) I would never buy a dog that doesn't come with some sort of written "garantee" from the breeder.
I live in Frederick, MD. I am in no rush to add a fila to my family. I currently have an adult male lab. I am not real excited to mix a fila with my lab. Any thoughts? I was thinking more aong the lines of adding a fila when we move in a few years. I will be building a house on some land, and that would be the best home for a fila. I am interested in a fila for family and property protection as well as adding another family member. I love dogs!
