It is most certainly in the interpretation....
I totally understand that breeders aren't breeding for pet quality dogs, my concern is breeders telling people to buy a breeding dog to recoup their money. My dog came from a situation like that, and was almost euthanized because the "breeders" couldn't get 1500.00 per pup. The original owner of my dogs dad, came and bought all of the pups and sold and/or gave them away. Then she went to back the following day and took him from her as she was in breach of contract by even breeding him. Which I wholeheartedly agree with. It's sad what people do for a buck, I see it in the horse industry on a daily basis. I guess I'm fortunate enough to realize that I do not have the knowledge nor facilities to be breeding dogs. I guess Clelias response to me took me aback because when I met with a Fila breeder for the first time, she read me the riot act about breeding/care/OFA/nutrition, and on and on. I think that what she did was great for the breed, she wasn't trying to make a buck, but was looking out for this wonderful breed and trying to keep these dogs out of the wrong hands. I think this breed could easily become the next "pitbull" phenomenon, and I personally would hate to see that happen. I did email Clelia when I first got my dog, and she seemed like a very nice and a very knowledgeable person. I hope most breeders have these dogs best intentions at heart and not the money.
I'm not arguing either, just voicing a concern. Thanks to everyone for their input.
