I have two. I have found that with diet, all human grade food and mostly raw in combination with 1 shot of ivermectin once every week to 10 days seems to be keeping it in check. When mine was bad his back was completely raw and bloody with pustuales of pus. However it appears to be getting in control and I have hopes of them getting better as they get older and their immune system gets stronger. They get vitamins every day. There is a chance that they may never get over it and could get to a point that it can no longer be controlled with medication. It is a horrible thing the puppies have to go through. This manage mite lives in the hair folicle and is very very difficult to treat. We have been going round and round with this for about 7 months. The good thing is that it is not contagious to other dogs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU GETTING ONE OF THESE PUPS. Find a repetable breeder and get a healthy pup. In the long run it will cost more money in medication and treatments and possible heart break if you can't get rid of it...not to mention the damn itching that the poor dog has to go through. Right now I am lucky, I am able to keep it down to a low roar with just the injectable..
Good luck and hope this helps.
