Charlie Kaulukukui invites classmates to join him and his friends for a hike on Saturday, July 19. If you're interested in going with them, please meet at the top parking lot to the Aiea Loop Trail at 11:00 a.m. They plan to go half way, and then get onto the Aiea Ridge Trail that leads to the Koolau mountains overlooking Kaneohe. Charlie doesn't plan on going all the way on the Ridge Trail - probably 45 minutes or so, rest, and then go back down. Per Charlie, the round trip should take about three to three-and-a-half hours, depending on the classmates. After returning to the cars, plan on eating lunch at the nearby picnic area before departing.
Bring something to drink on the trail, and lunch. Charlie says shorts are okay, but long pants are better for this hike.
