Mike Nakamura presented our class' first $500 scholarship to senior Mandy C. Shinsato at the 4th Annual Scholarship Recognition Program at the FHS Library on May 28, 2003. The money will be used to help pay for Mandy's tuition at Kapiolani Community College where she intends to major in sales/marketing.
Mandy is pictured below with Mike, her family (parents are '76 and '77 grads of FHS), and Jackie Howell Oliveros and Sharon Tanaka Yanagawa who were at the presentation. A reception with "some good food!" prepared by FHS' own culinary class followed.
