Competition promises to be exciting, exhilarating and spine tingling with the hottest presentation of authentic Hawai'ian performances of hula Kahiko (ancient), hula 'Auana (modern), and Oli (chant). E Hula Mau Hula and Chant Competition Friday - August 31, 2007 Saturday - September 1, 2007 Sunday - September 2, 2007 "Mahalo Bash" In another fitting climax to the E Hula Mau weekend, 2007's Mahalo Bash features Sean Na`auao and Robi Kahakalau. Both artists have won multiple Na Hoku Hanohano awards, and Nā Mamo is delighted to have them for the Bash. More details:

Aloha everyone....for those who are not going to be in Las Vegas and live or will be in California....come by and say "Hello!" to me at our 13th annual "E Hula Mau Hula and Chant Competition" and "Mahalo Bash" in Long Beach at the Performing Arts Center - Terrace Theater. I'll be there all weekend as usual.
The weekend includes a plethora of artisans, crafters, and food vendors, and a Hawaiian Village Outdoor Stage entertainment free for the public to enjoy. There is a Hawai'ian Village offering a number of workshops for a nominal fee for supplies in creating authentic Hawaiian crafts.
E komo mai (come and join us) for a very authentic Hawai'ian experience in Long Beach this Labor Day Weekend.
12:00 Noon (throughout the day) Hawai'ian Arts and Crafts Fair/Wokshops and Food Court.
3:30pm Opening Ceremonies, Solo Performances and Awards Presentation

9:00am Hawai'ian Arts and Crafts Fair and Village Workshops
10:00am Kahiko (Ancient) Group & Oli (Chant) Performances and Awards Presentation.

Opening the evening for our artists will be Nonosina's Polynesian Production.
