According to the Falcon Shop Manual, there were two versions of the Fordomatic transmission. One is calibrated for the 144 engine, and the other for the 170 engine. Does anyone know what the effect would be of using either a 144 or 200 with the transmission calibrated for the 170 motor? Exactly what items are affected by calibrating for one engine or another?
