Brake master conversion

I found information a few years ago that a Geo metro master cylinder and vacuum booster could be used to convert from a manual drum to a dual disc brake system. It was suppose to fit and easliy bolt in place of the old master cylinder. Has any tried this and how well does it work? Thanks.
