Hello. I'm new here :) I have a 1969 Ford Falcon Futura, and I love it, but sadly when I bought the car, there were 2 creases in the hood. These appeared after the hood flipped open after having the oil was checked at a gas station. I've been looking for a new hood, and short of having an expensive touch-up job at the collision shop, I came across something interesting in a parts interchange manual. It said that the hoods on 1969 Cougars and Mustangs are interchangeable with those on Falcons. Strangely, some of the mustang hoods look quite pointy, where others appear quite rounded in the centre.... Anyway, is this true -- are they interchangeable? I've always thought the hoods looked similar, but are they fully interchangeable, and, if so, is there more to it than a simple straight swap?
Any advice that anyone can offer, or an idea where I could get a falcon hood for that matter, would be most appreciated. Thanks kindly. Falcons forever!
