I wasn't very specific, was I?
If we change the engine, it will be from a 170 to a 200. We might put the 3-speed behind the existing 170, or we might change both at once, but no V8 swap is planned. I'm looking for a 3-speed that will work with the 170 and a possible 200 later.
Thanks!

: Hi. I'm hoping to AGAIN take
: advantage
: of the vast knowledge of the members
: of this board. We want to start
: keeping our eyes open for a good
: donor car where we might find a
: 3-speed automatic to replace the
: 2-speed Fordomatic in our '63
: Falcon, which currently has a 170.
: What should we be looking for - a
: Maverick maybe? I know where there
: are several Granadas/Monarchs with
: 250's in them. How about those?
: Also, will I need a custom
: transmission mount (some guy sells
: them on eBay) or can I get a tranny
: mount from a later model Falcon or
: some other Ford that used the
: 3-speed? I wish to retain the
: parking brake and, as you know, the
: tranny mount incorporates part of
: the hand brake mechanism.

: Thanks in advance.
