A couple of years ago, I bought a rebuilt carburetor from eBay. Model type C2DE. It arrived in good shape and looked as good as a new one.
Today, I finally got around to putting it on the car. It started up fine, but after a few minutes, it became obvious that it was stating to flood the engine. Seemed like all I had to do was to take off the air horn, see what was wrong with the float or needle valve, and I'd be in fat city. But when I tried to get it off, I found that it was stuck on. I tried to pry it off, pull it off, etc. No luck. Can anyone suggest a method to safely remove the air horn without damaging it or the float bowl.
Thanx.
Bob
