1963 170 engine: Hydraulic or solid lifters?

I've got a service manual, but it's for a 1962. And on the web, everyone says "early" 144/170's have solid lifters and "late" engines have hydraulics, but they don't say which years are considered "early" and "late". So, what do I have - solids or hydraulics?
