Bob:
Any competent radiator shop can re-core your exixting radiator. I've had this done a couple of times, although never for a Ford. They use your existing tanks (the top and bottom of your radiator) while replacing the core. If the proper core is available, should be no problem.

: The radiator in my '62 Falcon wagon
: with the 170 engine will need to be
: replaced soon, so I decided to be
: proactive (for once) and buy a new
: one before a major problem
: developed. I went to Advance Auto
: Parts and ordered one but when it
: came, it had a three-row core. The
: original one has a two row core and
: a three row core will not work...the
: fan would rub on it.
:
: I checked several other places and
: found that all of them seem to sell
: a three row core for this car, even
: though it will not work. I did find
: a place that makes aluminum
: radiators that will work, but I'd
: like to use one that is like
: original equipment. Does anyone know
: of a source for a radiator of this
: type?
:
: Thanks in advance.
