The windshield is held in by the lip on the rubber gasket. If the gasket is still flexible and you plan to reuse it you can *carefully* work the lip over the edge of the metal from the inside using a "dull" flat blade screwdriver. Start at one of the bottom corners and work your way up and across the top, then down the other side. You don't need to do the bottom - once the top and sides are free you can lift it out. Also watch the headliner since it's held behind the rubber across the top. The stainless trim on the outside should have been left in place until after the windshield is removed.
To reinstall, the rubber (and stainless) should be installed on the glass, with a thin bead of butyl sealer between the glass and rubber and a fat bead around the opening in the body. Put a loop of strong cord around the groove in the rubber, with the ends overlapping top and center and taped to the inside of the glass. Carefully set the bottom into the opening, making sure it's centered. Untape the cord and slowly and carefully pull the rubber lip over the metal, working one side, then the other.
Be very careful in every step, and remember the glass is delicate and there's always a chance of it breaking. JL
