I put a split bench seat from a 98 GMC Sonoma in my 60 Ranchero, and it was about a four hour job. The bases for the seats are, of course, formed very differently from the factory bench. I cut different lenghts of 3/4 pipe as spacers until I get them at the right height and in the right location. Then I drilled new holes in the floor and used 1/2 bolts and huge washers both under the pipes and under the car. It works like a champ! I incorporated the middle seat belt, too. The nice thing about using GM seats is that they usually have very little wear before the truck is in the boneyard. The hood latch and hood hinges, on the otherhand, are usually shot.
: Anybody out there had any luck
: experimenting with different bench
: seat options (preferably with
: folding arm rest)for your 64-65
: Falcon? Also wondering what the
: largest wheel / tire combination
: (including offset)that anybody has
: sucessfully installed in a stock
: Falcon wheel well? I am removing
: leaf springs so I should pick up
: about 3 inches tire clearence on
: each side. Any help will be greatly
: appreciated.Thanks
