Posted by Bob I have a 1962 Falcon station wagon which has high mileage and the engine is in need of an overhaul. I like the economy of the 170 six that is in it now. However, it would be nice to have a later model 170 engine that has hydraulic lifters, rather than the solid lifters in the 62's motor. This car has the two-speed Fordomatic transmission in it. Will a later model engine drop in and bolt up to the bell housing and torque converter in the '62, or would this upgrade be more involved? Since this is a daily driver, expense is somewhat of an issue. Thanks in advance. Bob
