Posted by JimG on 8/12/2007, 4:49 pm, in reply to "Re: 63 Falcon brakes" I finally got around to working on the brakes. Got the master cylinder bolted in, no problem. Plumbing is the problem! Where did you get the tee on your Bronco that you screwed the brake light switch into? The brake switch appears to have pipe threads - different from the brake line that screws into the other section of the tee. I can only find tees with similar threads - none with pipe threads in one outlet and brake line threads in the others. Thanks, Jim --Previous Message--

: Jim, another one that works well is
: 1970 +/- drum brake Maverick. I
: bolted one of those into my '65
: wagon about ten years back and have
: never given it another thought. $22
: brand new (not rebuilt) at Kragens
: with a lifetime warranty. I used the
: original '65 pushrod with the switch
: mounted inside on the pedal (a
: difference between 1963 and 1965).
: Here's a link showing the dual unit
: in my '65 (first three pics), and
: also the dual one I swapped into my
: '66 Bronco (last two). The Bronco
: installation has an adapter block on
: the primary outlet so the original
: hydraulic switch could be reused
: (that should be what's on your '63).
: I got the adapter from some kind of
: truck at the junkyard; sorry I don't
: recall exactly what it was. JL
