You will need to brass brake line block which can be obtained from many sources. These came on all of the later Fords such as Mustang, Comet, Maverick and they have a port for the idiot light or you can use it for your brake lights instead. Metro Mustang sells a new master if you want to go that route instead of a rebuilt one. don --Previous Message--

Jim:
: Hi everyone, I'm new to the board.
:
: I'm helping a friend make a good
: driver of a '63 Falcon that's been
: in her family for over 30 years.
: It's been sitting in a barn for
: about 15 years. The brakes are
: non-operational, and since the
: master cylinder needs replacing
: anyway, I'd like to use a later,
: dual-circuit master cylinder and
: convert the drum brakes to dual
: circuit. I believe this was required
: by law beginning in '67. Does anyone
: know if a later drum brake master
: cylinder will bolt in with no
: modifications? BTW, this particular
: car was wrecked earlier in it's life
: due to master cylinder failure, so
: the dual circuit setup seems like a
: good way to go until we do further
: research on the drum-to-disc
: conversion.
:
: Thanks in advance,
:
: Jim
