I just measured the original mounting holes on my 631/2 Sprint: The first hole nearest the grill, is 5/8th of an inch, in front of the center of the grill on the dash, the next hole would be in line with that pointing straight back to center console--mounts on dash, not the grill. Side note, if the tach you purchased was on ebay, mounted on a grill, we were competitors! I found one a couple of days later, plus I found a source for new face plates for the Sprint tach. Now are the 63 and 64 the same? My guess is they are, but maybe someone with a 64 can say for sure. James
