I realize you're looking for someone to do the whole job, but keep your eyes peeled for the parts. I found a completely rebuilt 66 200 six that a guy had hanging in his garage. He'd rebuilt it for a Mustang when someone made him an offer for the car as it stood, and didn't want the motor. I bought it for $95, and for five more bucks he threw in a shopping bag of fuel pumps, caps, rotors and misc. parts. This was in ths classifieds here in Wisconsin--I bet it's even easier in California. That motor in in my 60 Ranchero, replacing the 144. Everything including the generator bracket bolted right on.
: I have a 1960 falcon, with a 144 I've
: asked around to see if anyone can
: rebuild the motor. I get the same
: response, put a newer motor and
: transmission. I'm willing to get it
: done, I just need someone who does
: the converting. If anyone is near
: the Los Angeles area and does this
: kind of work,please respond with a
: ballpark price.
