Posted by don on 3/11/2007, 10:35 am, in reply to "1962 brake swap" 1) Keep the 4 lug setup and go with a retrofit disc brake setup from various suppliers such as Scarebird 2) If you have 4 bolt ball joint, you can swap out the spindles from a Maverick, Granada and similar and go with either larger drums or better yet, go with a disc brake retrofit. There are multiple suppliers that have conversion kits. Your rear brakes will need an examination also, depending on what you have for a rear end. Use larger and wider drums. You can also go with a disc brake conversion as well but most stay with the drum setup.
